DALLAS (Nov. 15, 2003) – The Fashion Group International (FGI) hosted the 3rd annual Rising Star Awards at the Park Cities Hilton today honoring eight outstanding individuals for their entrepreneurial accomplishments and creativity in the fashion, beauty and design industries.

The Rising Star Award in the category of Beauty was presented to Michael Marcus, founder and president of michael marcus Cosmetics.

The Rising Star awards support the FGI mission to promote the advancement of both new and seasoned professionals in the fashion industries. Developed in 1997, The Rising Star Awards honors eight individuals who are up-and-coming style-makers of the future.  Recipients must have been in business no longer than five years.
